We are constantly bombarded with marketing messages that encourage us to spend extravagantly and buy buy buy now.  Usually, the idea is that by having the latest product, we will be happier, cooler, more fulfilled, etc.  With thoughtful planning, we will wade through the garbage and find the lifestyle habits (and the accompanying products and services) that will continually enhance our sense of well-being with minimal cost and effort.

Our lives cannot be compartimentalized.  Everything is connected.  Improving our health, finances, career, and general well-being can have positive spillover effects to other areas of life.  Small changes that improve any of these areas will be considered true lifestyle upgrades.
